Forster Woods Adult Day Center competes for MSU charity opportunity

Forster Woods Adult Day Center — located on the campus of St. Katherine’s Church, Williamston — is taking part in the University Club of Michigan State University’s Big Bang-quet Community Charity Challenge.
Beginning Monday, fw guestsFeb.22, Forster Woods and many other mid-Michigan charities will be asking the public for their votes to help them win a $10,000 or $5,000 credit towards a fundraising event held at the school’s University Club. The program is being conducted by the University Club of MSU and is sponsored by the MSU Federal Credit Union and the Capital Region Community Foundation.

A “vote” is a $5 tax-deductible donation to the Capital Region Community Foundation. Votes can be cast online through Tuesday, March 22 at http://bit.ly/Vote4ForsterWoods. The top three winners will receive event credits from the University Club, but every organization, including Forster Woods, will receive its funds raised through voting (minus a small percentage retained by the Capital Region Community Foundation to cover processing fees). On Wednesday, March 23, at 5:30 p.m., the public will be invited to a reception at the University Club to place final votes and then witness the final outcome.

The University Club of Michigan State University has an 87-year tradition as a year-round center for business, dining, fitness, recreation, and golf at Forest Akers Golf courses. The Club offers a service-rich tradition of fabulous dining and entertainment, flawlessly executed meetings and events, leisurely tennis, swimming and golf, and a world-class fitness center and spa. Membership in this award-winning private facility is open to all.
