This resource allows all to track information leading up to the General Convention, and will also provide reports 
from the event as it unfolds throughout early July. It will be updated regularly between now and the end of the Convention.
Convention Summary
What: The triennial General Convention of the Episcopal Church.
When: July 5-12.
Where: Indianapolis.
Details: Bishops will meet as the House of Bishops and elected clergy and laity from each diocese will meet as the House of Deputies. Business comes in the form of resolutions from four sources: existing Episcopal Church committees, commissions, agencies and boards (CCABs); bishops; deputies; and dioceses or provinces. At General Convention, those resolutions will be distributed to legislative committees (including both bishops and deputies and have a chair from each House). The committees review resolutions assigned to them, may hold hearings, may combine or edit the resolutions and forward their final recommended resolutions for a vote. Resolutions must pass both Houses to be official acts of convention.
